Memorial Day Weekend

Pictures are coming soon, but I have a few extra minutes in school today while the kids in homeroom watch a video, so I figured I'd take advantage of it and blog.
Saturday was awesome. I spent most of the day out in the garden transplanting and rearranging plants. I've got a lot of landscaping going on, but it's pretty wild and haphazard and I am trying to get it looking a little more manicured. I have some plants that are getting too big that need to be cut back, so if you know anyone in Utah who wants some giant orange lillies for a sunny spot, let me know. I'll probably just put them out on the street with a sign that says "For Free."
Sunday was wild. After church (I taught sharing time, btw) we had some friends come over. Emanuel and Janel are our friends from when we first started dating. Janel and I even ended up being roommates in the foreign language house. Luis fixed Emanuel up with Janel, and vice versa. We started dating officially the same time they did (a week or so after) and got engaged about 2 weeks before them. They were married late July, we were married mid August of the same year. I even ended up rooming with Janel in the foreign language house. Anyway, we hadn't seen them in a while and they came over just to chill. While we were there we got a call from Ana and Luis Reyes (another couple whom we know from WAY back- our 2nd date was to their wedding!) who invited us ALL over to their house for Churros and Games. We ended up staying until around 10:00.
Yesterday we ran about a million errands, mowed the grass, had a carne asada. We delivered the diaper bags that I made as baby-shower gifts to a few of my friends. I also painted the planter boxes on my deck. We went to play tennis and ended up out for like 2 hours. It was fun, although I've never played and am embarassingly bad at it.
So all in all, it was a good Memorial Day weekend. We're back at school for the rest of the week, but Friday's the last day before summer break! Yay!
