Fancy a Run?

I decided to start running again. It makes me feel happy and I missed how much energy I had back in the good old days when I was running 5K 3 times a week. Good old days= May.
I went running today. It was tough, but I'm pretty proud of myself. I started around week 7 of the C25K program and actually made it! Woot!
I got a total runner's high. It's great. I feel so cleansed and relaxed. I totally recommend running if you ever have the heart to take it seriously.
I hope to be able to participate in the Utah Valley Marathon next summer if I don't get pregs. I'll be shooting for the half marathon. Today I did 2 miles in 30 minutes. That's 2/3 of the way to 5K, and I'm pretty sure I can get that up to a full 5K in about 3-4 weeks. That leaves me about 10 months to get up to a half marathon. Majorly ambitious for me, but I think doable.

I'm on week 5 of c25k. Going strong! I'm looking into a local running class that will do something similar and hopefully teach me things I don't know about running. A runner friend recommended buying (or library borrowing) Running: start to finish by John Stanton. Good luck on your running!
