Most of the significant decorating/painting in the house is done now. I'm glad. School is going to be starting in a couple weeks and summer is winding down. I'm sad that summer is almost over, but so pleased with the work that I've been able to accomplish at the house. It's been a solid month of sanding, painting, sewing, sawing, drilling, burying, and watering, watering, watering.
For the next week I'll be posting pictures every day of a room or area of my house. There won't really be any "before" pictures, because there wasn't really anything here before since we just moved in. So I guess these are the "before" pictures for all future makeovers.
I'm starting with the most recent project- the office. I was up late last night putting the finishing touches on the indigo paint, and moving furniture back where it belongs.
I hate painting. So. So. So. Much.
But the results are awesome!
My favorite parts of this room are the sweet thrift shop scores I found for the space: the AMAZING rug I got for $15 at D.I. The Mod desk chair I found at Savers for $12.99. My gigantic $5 birdcage (another D.I. find). The daisy painting was in my grandma's house Fo Evah. When she passed in 2010, none of my aunties or cousins wanted it, so I snatched that baby up like nobody's biz-nass before anyone could change their minds.
I'll probably start changing thing before the paint finishes curing, but for now I LOVE it!
