So I got a Smart Phone. I finally just jumped on the bandwagon and did it. It's awesome. It's an HTC Sensation.
It may be the coolest thing I've ever owned. The problem is that between that and the unlimited Data plan we got (which, incidentally is only costing us like $20/month... go fig), I can't seem to put the dang thing down.
And it's so much more than Angry Birds. I mean, don't get me wrong, I've killed my fair share of pigs in the past week. But it's more than that. It's the Apps. So many free programs that I'm sure are going to help me live a happier better life, but which really just end up sucking all of my time like some mega vortex of free stuff that I can't escape. I mean, there are apps to teach you languages, apps to help you track fitness goals, apps for music, apps for games. Currently I'm listening to French radio streamed live to my phone. If I want to, I'm sure I could download BBC radio. I could download billions of recipes. I could walk around with a translator that could translate anything I say to any other language, or I could just read every book ever written, or watch movies and tv all day long. You know, whatever.
The quantity of information is staggering. It makes my laptop look like an antiquated piece of junk, and it's borderline scary, but I can't put my phone down.
Is this normal? Have any of you Smart Phone users ever OD'd on information?

haha I understand - Chad got a smart phone a few months ago, and now I don't know how we ever lived without it! It's a good thing I decided we should only have one, or I'd be just as hooked as you are!
Hi, my name is Emily, and I'm a smartphone-aholic.
I blame Steve Jobs and England for having cheap data plans...
