Waiting for Paint to Dry

Sorry I've been MIA for a while. I'm here in beautiful sunny California waiting for paint to dry. Seriously. I've spent a week and a half primarily doing just that.
My mom needed some work done on her house, so I came out as soon as school got out and we cleaned, refloored, painted and decorated the three non-master bedrooms in her house. We turned one of them into a cozy guest room, another into a bright and cheery craft room, and the third into the most gorgeous home office I've ever seen. Seriosly. I'm considering moving into this office permanently.
We've been pulling LOOOONG days; typically 8 in the morning until way past midnight, stopping only for food and countless trips to Home Depot. It's been backbreaking, frustrating, dirty work for the most part but transforming my childhood home into an empty-nest retreat for my parents has been well worth the effort.
I'm finishing up details today and doing some serious deep cleaning tomorrow, and then I will take a bunch of "after" pictures. Hopefully I'll get those posted by this weekend.
In the mean time, I think the shelf brackets I spray painted are probably dry and ready to hang, so I better get back to work.

You are seriously the most awesome person I know. I wish I could be there to help you. I'm sure mom is in heaven right now. You have made her so happy. She's been needing this for years, and you gave it to her. Bravo!

Yes, I am in heaven!! Cami is an amazing Super Hero of cleaning, painting, sorting, organizing - a regular hurrican of beauty and order!! After work I can't wait to get in my craft room and sew. I'm working on the curtains for the guest bedroom. Next are the curtains for the craft room. The craft room is so vibrant and energizing - just what I needed and enjoy. It's hard to go to bed at night - I don't want to leave it! The office is all apart right now, getting new flooring. Vinyl planks - very sturdy and beautiful. Thank you my dear Camille - and thank you to Tiffani and her painting crew - Gideon and Sam! for the time they were able to paint and organize. Love you Cams
