Church Play

A few weeks ago, Luis was in a church production called "My Greatest Heroes From the Past," written, produced, and directed by Penate Inc. (aka the Penate family). They are the resident MDT experts in the branch and often stage church productions, although I think this was their farthest reaching endeavor.

Luis played the part of "Goliath," for the obvious reason that he is hands-down the largest man at church. We attend a Spanish-Speaking branch and I don't want to perpetuate racial stereotypes, but some how most of the men are my height or shorter.

It was a rousing success. The actors were hilarious, the props sufficient, the singing heart-felt, and the production overall entertaining.

Without further ado, I bring you Luis a.k.a Goliath: the Philistine Giant.

As you can clearly see, he had an awesome costume (sewn by moi) and his scene with David (some kid named Juan Carlos) clearly stole the show, as he is adept in lumbering, towering, and striking menacing poses.

Thanks for the pictures of the play. I think Luis looks really great! Super costume too :) I bet that was really fun to see.
